And some may have thought I had stopped this blog.. let's just say it has been in recess.
Really enjoying that new career driving a school bus. Not only the challenges of dealing with kids but also the opportunity to work on 'charter trips'. Have met lots of interesting folks on these charter trips.
Permit me to do a bit of promotion. My school bus company like many others in Canada is desperately seeking new school bus drivers. If any one is either unemployed, or under employed, or want something new you should contact your local school bus company. Many are offering large incentives for new drivers.
Have been reading lots of articles online on many many subjects. Some of them I am linking to my facebook profile. If you can please check them out.
A few weeks ago my mother in law passed away at the age of 95. While she had been quite ill the last few years it was sad to see her go. My wife did attend Irene Ruttle's funeral and is coping quite well with the loss.
Have been doing lots of 'soul searching' about our level of involvement with the organized Jewish community in Regina (meaning the local synagogue). It is a very welcoming group. But with the chnages in our life experiences (read... so much time doing child care) we are unsure if we wish to be formally connected to the community. We have not finalized our views but are definitely looking at various community/spiritual alternatives.
